THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE          Participants experience the opportunity over a ten month period to learn about the Flathead Valley, its people, its values and resources, its strengths and weaknesses. The program includes: orientation session; opening retreat; tourism, recreation and the arts; education; government and taxation; health care and human services; law and public safety; business and economic climate; media and transportation; natural resources and agriculture; and effecting change. Participants have seen first hand an overall picture of the Flathead that one could only expect to see after years of community involvement.          LEADERSHIP FLATHEAD is also a resource exchange. Participants form a network within the community. They construct a path for new directions, for identifying and solving problems, for promoting ideas and working together on important community issues.
